CSA Certification

It takes a intensive exam and adherence to the highest ethical standards regarding the protection of the health and welfare of seniors to achieve the CSA designation. The CSA Certification Council establishes all criteria and standards. Professionals must complete the application process, and meet CSA Certification Council criteria to qualify for certification:

  • Compile a candidate profile using accurate information
    • Complete the disclosure questionnaire
  • CSA certification exam completion and passing
  • Obtain a background check
  • Obtain a passing score on the Roles, Rules, and Responsibilities Ethics exam
  • The Certified Senior Advisors Application for Certification must be completed and signed
  • CSA Code of Professional Responsibility agreement and compliance

In order to have a CSA credential, candidates must complete and pass an exam within 12 months of enrolling. After passing this exam, CSA candidates must pass the Roles, Rules, and Responsibilities Ethics Exam.
